Description
Southern Right Whales leave Antarctica in May/June and swim thousands of kilometres along the coast of South Africa in an annual migration that stretches from Paternoster on the West Coast to Kosi Bay on the East. When they leave, the Humpback Whales move in with their calves, delighting thousands of land and water-based spectators – especially in the popular whale watching towns of Hermanus, Stilbaai, Witsand, Gansbaai. The popular Whale Trail also includes town along the famous Garden Route, Wild Coast and the Dolphin Coast in far northern KwaZulu-Natal. This guide has all you need to know to plan your trip along the Whale Trail.
